My Heart, Yours

A cactus heart, the root of all digressions

Meeting in unison; each finger entwined

I’ve brought a dowry for love, the kind

That would entice and should, bring about

A bleeding heart, cerebral fists

My eyes they gather up in tow, a tear rang

Truce in burnt foliage, the leaves under

My toes : brushed up against my sleeves,

I feel your willing needs, the way your heart

It bleeds for me; each memory becomes mine

And yours; it speaks, in tones of woe and blinking

stars to arrays of light, they shine stiffly

The air concealed in breaths of kiss and drink,

We spill our bitter orange, sweets and melancholic

Amber leaves, they’re bright and beautiful

A heart of mine, is yours, the earth begins

The seasons turn but, stay here with me in Summer
